Throughout the corpus, Archie Goodwin visits Greenwich Village to interview suspects or witnesses, to investigate the scene of a crime, and occasionally just to stretch his legs. Why, once he even found a dog. Rex Stout, who described himself as Archie's literary agent, lived in the Village for a number of years prior to 1932 when he built his home, High Meadow, which straddles the NY/CT border near Danbury.
